Welcome to Eco Mustang Trekking! Our company is thrilled to offer you the chance to experience Muktinath, a highly revered sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Situated at an elevation of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass in the Mustang district, Muktinath is a must-visit destination in Nepal.
Hindus refer to Muktinath as Mukti Kshetra, or the "place of salvation." It is one of Nepal's oldest temples dedicated to the God Vishnu and the Vaishnava tradition. This sacred site is one of the eight Svayam Vyakta Ksetras and one of the 108 Divya Desam, which are holy places of worship of Lord Vishnu. Muktinath is also one of the 51 Shakti Pitha goddess sites.
Muktinath's temple houses a small golden statue of Vishnu as Shri Mukti Narayana and bronze images of Bhoodevi, Saraswati, Janaki (Sita), Garuda, Lava-Kusa, and the Sapta Rishis. You will have the opportunity to meet an elderly Buddhist monk in the temple and witness Buddhist nuns conducting worship.
Eco Mustang Trekking invites you to visit Muktinath, a place of immense cultural and religious significance. Our experienced guides will accompany you on this incredible journey, ensuring that you have an unforgettable and safe trip. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore this enchanting destination.
